  The city is holding a required public hearing before adopting a property tax rate of $0.54218 per $100 of assessed valuation for the upcoming fiscal year. Residents have the opportunity to speak in support of or against the proposed rate.

  The tax rate directly determines how much Richardson property owners will pay in city property taxes in FY 2024-2025.

  Discussion of DCAD and CCAD board representation for 2025

  The council will review and discuss how Richardson is represented on the boards of the Dallas Central Appraisal District (DCAD) and the Collin Central Appraisal District (CCAD) for the 2025 term.

  Appraisal district boards oversee how properties are valued for tax purposes, so board representation can affect Richardson property owners' appraisals and tax bills.
