Public hearings

Public hearing: rezone 13 acres near Waterview Pkwy for apartments, hotel, and retail (ZF 22-11)
A property owner is requesting to rezone approximately 13.03 acres located between Waterview Parkway and President George Bush Highway, east of Frankford Road, from Technical Office (TO-M) and Planned Development (PD) to a new Planned Development. The new zoning would allow up to 511 apartment and live/work units, a limited-service hotel, and up to 19,000 square feet of retail space.
This decision would determine whether a significant mixed-use development with hundreds of new housing units, a hotel, and retail shops is built on this site, affecting traffic, density, and the character of the surrounding area.
