Changes to the concept plan and uses for this large tract could affect what gets built there and how it fits in with the surrounding neighborhood.

Public hearings
-
Public hearing: special permit for a childcare center at 1006 Hampshire Lane
A property owner is requesting a special permit to operate a childcare center inside an existing 4,784-square-foot building on a 0.403-acre lot zoned C-M Commercial at 1006 Hampshire Lane, south of Arapaho Road on the east side of Hampshire Lane.
Approval would allow a childcare facility to open in this commercial building, which could benefit nearby families needing childcare.
-
Public hearing: special permits for auto body shop, storage lot, and repair shop near Main Street
A request seeks three separate special permits within existing buildings in the Main Street/Central Expressway PD Planned Development (Interurban Sub-District): one for a motor vehicle body shop on a 1.4-acre lot, one for a motor vehicle storage lot on a 0.04-acre lot, and one for a minor motor vehicle repair shop on a 1.2-acre lot — all located east of Bishop Ave, west of N. Interurban Street, north of Jackson Street, and south of Davis Street.
Granting these permits would allow automotive repair, body work, and vehicle storage businesses to operate in an area designated as a planned development, which could affect the character of that corridor.
Action items
