Public hearings
-
Public hearing on the proposed 2026 Bond Program
Council will hold a public hearing to gather resident input on the city's proposed 2026 Bond Program. Residents will have an opportunity to comment before the program is finalized.
A bond program would direct how the city spends potentially large amounts of borrowed money on capital projects, which can affect taxes and city services for years.
-
Rezoning hearing for 18.16 acres near Apollo Road continued to Feb. 23, 2026 (ZF 25-18)
This public hearing concerns a request to rezone an 18.16-acre tract on the south side of Apollo Road, west side of Amherst Avenue, and north side of Syracuse Drive from R-1800-M Residential to a Planned Development (PD) for the R-1800-M district. The applicant has asked that the item be continued to the February 23, 2026 council meeting.
Neighbors near Apollo Road, Amherst Avenue, and Syracuse Drive should be aware the rezoning decision is postponed; they will have another opportunity to comment in February.
-
Public hearing on special development plan for 600 S. Central Expressway (ZF 25-21)
Council will hold a public hearing and consider an ordinance granting a Special Development Plan to modify the standards of the Main Street/Central Expressway Form-Based Code for a 1.08-acre property at 600 S. Central Expressway.
Approving this plan would allow the property at 600 S. Central Expressway to be developed under customized rules that differ from the standard form-based code that governs that corridor.

The council will meet in closed session to discuss a potential site for Fire Station No. 7 and to consult with the city attorney about a possible vacancy on the City Council.
