Public hearings
-
Special permit for a private university at 1301 W. President George Bush Hwy
The council will hold a public hearing and consider granting a special permit to allow a private university to operate at 1301 W. President George Bush Highway, a property currently zoned TO-M Technical Office.
Approving this permit would bring a private university campus to that corridor, potentially affecting traffic, parking, and surrounding land uses.
-
Special permit for an event center at 1101 E. Arapaho Road
The council will hold a public hearing and consider granting a special permit to allow an event center to operate at 1101 E. Arapaho Road, a property in the Collins/Arapaho TOD & Innovation District Form Based Code (Employment Sub-District).
Approving this permit would allow a venue for events in the Arapaho Road corridor, which could affect nearby businesses and residents through increased traffic and activity.
-
Rezoning a 4.09-acre tract on East Main Street for townhomes
The council will continue a public hearing and consider rezoning a 4.09-acre parcel on the north side of East Main Street, east of North Grove Road, from temporary residential zoning (R-1500-M) to a Planned Development for attached townhome-style housing, with an approved concept plan.
This rezoning would allow townhome development on land near East Main Street, affecting the character and density of that neighborhood.
-
Rezoning 7.52 acres at 2140 Lake Park Blvd to Planned Development Office
The council will continue a public hearing and consider rezoning a 7.52-acre property at 2140 Lake Park Boulevard from O-M Office with special conditions to a Planned Development for the O-M Office District with amended development standards.
The amended development standards in the new Planned Development zoning could change what can be built or how the site is developed at this location.
